101 Zile de Şcoală Militară

“101 Days to Graduation from the Military School” Badge

That traditional badge was issued to NCOs training at various Aviation military officers schools 101 days before their graduation and assignment of the first military rank of Sublocotenent. Presentation of “pre-graduation” badges was a Romanian military tradition in all the schools, including Infantry, Artillery and other special institutions.

The badge had a shape of a pair of outstretched wings with a round laurel wreath superimposed on a centre. The wreath was topped with the royal crown and tied with a ribbon at its bottom. A number “101” was situated in the very centre of the badge.

The badge “101 Days in the Military School” was made of silvered bronze and was worn above the left breast pocket of a tunic.
